I have recently been gripped by a fascination with water in my creative photography pursuits. This isn’t particularly revelatory: water as a medium has long been a source of inspiration for other photographers. But here I am, throwing my hat in the ring, too. For me, it is a closer look at the surface of water that holds the most potential. So much goes on there: reflections, patterns, hints of depths below. There is so much room to play. These photos are the results of some of my happiest and most carefree outings this year.
