— About the artist —
My name is Mitch Korolev. I am an environmental scientist and a photographer.
Photography and science have taken me a few places, including the Alaskan wilderness and the Amazon Rainforest. I recently moved to Western Colorado and have been the savoring the myriad of landscapes now within driving distance.
A goal of mine is to blend photography and science communication. Scientific findings are often delivered to the public as walls of text that aren’t easy to understand. Photography can act as an effective tool to bridge that gap, to the benefit of our society and our planet.
